Browse inside FeedHush
The planned iPhone and Mac apps will open supported social sites in their own browser. They won’t change Safari or native social apps.
A calmer way to browse
Keep up with the people you care about, with fewer distractions along the way. We’re building FeedHush to give you more choice over what fills your feed.
In development. Apps and social-site filtering are not available yet.
A little more room
to choose what matters.
FeedHush is in development. There’s no app to install yet. Explore what we’re working on and where it will apply.
Check availabilityThe idea
We’re building a way to browse social sites inside FeedHush and choose which distractions to leave out. Social-site filtering is not available yet.
The planned iPhone and Mac apps will open supported social sites in their own browser. They won’t change Safari or native social apps.
We’re exploring ways to quiet recommendations and other distractions, with separate settings for personal and family use.
Filtering will apply only in supported apps and extensions. Any separate Apple Screen Time controls will need your permission.
We’re still checking site compatibility, sign-in, and device permissions before making filtering available.
Where we’re headed
We’re exploring the services below. No social-site controls are available yet. No sites are supported yet.
A service appearing here does not mean its site is supported.
We’re not offering Safari, Firefox, or Android support, filtering inside native social apps, or system-wide Mac restrictions.
For individuals
Sometimes you want to check in with someone, then get on with your day. We’re building FeedHush around that choice, with filtering options to help you leave the rest behind.
Check availabilityPersonal settings are for your own focus. They won’t give someone else parent access or control over your device.
For families
Parents will manage household settings on the FeedHush website. A child’s device will show its assigned settings and let them ask for a change. Apple Screen Time permission is separate from a FeedHush parent account.
This link opens the parent app on this computer: http://127.0.0.1:8787/parent/. Online sign-in isn’t available yet.
Designed around
Only a signed-in parent can change the household’s settings or decide a child’s request.
If saved settings expire or can’t be verified, a parent will need to sign in and reconnect the device.
Other browsers, apps, accounts, and devices remain outside FeedHush’s control.
The family apps are still in development. An offline device won’t learn that its access has been removed until it reconnects; saved settings will have an expiry.
Desktop & browser
The Mac app and browser extensions will work in different places. Here’s what each is being built to do.
Family settings will apply inside FeedHush. They won’t restrict the rest of the Mac or stop someone opening another browser. Use Apple Screen Time for separate system settings.
We’re building an extension for browsing in Chrome. Social-site filtering is not available yet. Learn how managed Chrome and separate device controls will fit together.
We’re building an extension for browsing in Edge. Social-site filtering is not available yet.
On iPhone: Filtering will work only while browsing inside FeedHush. Blocking other apps or sites would require separate Apple Screen Time permission; those controls are not available yet.
Privacy by design
We’re building FeedHush so social passwords, cookies, feed content, and private messages stay off our servers. Any future social sign-in will happen directly with the social site.
A FeedHush parent account and Apple Screen Time permission are separate. Neither tells us who approved the other.
Our privacy approach for the apps we’re buildingYou won’t give FeedHush your social password. Social sign-in will stay with the social site.
We’re building filtering without sending your feed or private messages to our servers.
Your FeedHush parent account and Apple Screen Time permission serve different purposes.

No. A FeedHush parent account manages household settings. Apple Screen Time permission allows separate device controls. FeedHush can’t confirm whether the same person approved both.
That depends on separate device controls. Chrome force-install policy can prevent ordinary extension removal, while Apple’s child authorization can restrict app deletion. FeedHush doesn’t configure a complete device lock, and its family runtime is still unfinished. Other browsers, accounts, administrator access and resets need their own plan. Read about the protection layers.
